3 tips to increase your Instagram followers

Instagram, in the last few years, has become one of the most important platforms for any business. It doesn't matter what you do anymore, your company profile on Instagram is a given. Whether you want to advertise your services or products, or you want to build your personal profile for paid cooperation with brands and companies, the most important thing on your profile is followers.

How to increase the number of followers and make people actually visit your profile and follow news related to your business?

There are several options. If you have enough financial resources, it is possible to pay for sponsored ads that will be shown to people who would be interested in your business and profile. There is also an option to buy followers, but it is not recommended at all, because this way only increases the number of followers, who are not interested in your profile and posts, and Instagram itself often deletes profiles that choose this option.

Sponsored posts can help you get people who are really interested in what you do and who would buy your product or service faster, but how do you build a profile if you don't have the financial means to run ads? Does it seem impossible for your profile, which currently has 200 followers, to grow to several thousand without any financial investment? People usually assume that this is very difficult and even impossible, but the truth is different.

It is absolutely possible!

We know from the examples of our clients that it is possible to increase the number of followers in an organic way, without investing financial resources.
The only important thing is that you have a strategy, that you are persistent and committed, but of course, there are also certain rules that can help you reach your goal faster. In general, it doesn't matter if you start with 200, 500 or 1500 followers, following these three rules that have brought us the best results, your profile will progress much faster.

1. Choose the topic and niche of your profile

Rule number one is to think and develop your profile theme. Choose a specific niche and build your profile to specifically speak to a specific group of people. It is not possible to address absolutely every group of people and try to sell them all the same thing. If you go to a bus stop and shout "Hi everyone!", probably no one will turn around. But if you shout "Hi Nikola", a couple of people will certainly turn around, because it is very specific and they will think that you are addressing them.

So the first rule is to determine the avatar you are addressing. Who is the person who will be interested in your profile? Who is the person who will buy your product? If you're selling maternity clothes, it doesn't make too much sense to build a profile that will appeal to 15-year-old boys and 50-year-old men alike - if you don't choose your 'perfect audience', you'll be posting and writing things that don't make sense to anyone in particular, and then you won't attract anyone to follow your profile and take an interest in your business.

Not all followers are created equal, so the most important thing is to determine how to attract the specific type of clients that are perfect for what you do. If you want to monetize your profile and if you want to promote other people's products and services, it will be much more successful when you know exactly who you are talking to, and exactly what problems you are solving for your followers.

Also, if your goal is to reach cooperation with some brands, it is extremely important to know who your audience is and the people who follow you. Often, people from companies you want to work with are willing to pay a lot more money if you have a precisely defined target group of people who follow you, than if you just have a lot of followers who just stand there as a number. "Everyone" is not worth much, you don't know who you should focus on, you need to know exactly who you are addressing.

2. Be consistent

Rule number two is to be consistent in posting. In the beginning, it is important that you post every day, although many people find it difficult to achieve this due to commitments. You're also probably wondering, "Where do I get enough pictures to post something every day, is it generally worth my time?"

Why is it important to post daily?

In fact, the current best practice is to publish three posts per day. Of course, some brands post much more - up to 8 posts per day. And why is it published so much? In the beginning, we all post a lot, and when you get your followers used to having some kind of traffic from you every day and that suddenly disappears - two things happen.

The first is that followers wean themselves off of their usual way of connecting with you, and the second is that the algorithm will actually start to demote your account and rank it lower - the algorithm wants you to create more content every day, to post every day, to post multiple times a day , to always have an Instagram story. The more consistent you are in this, the more they will favor you and recommend your profile to people.

Instagram is good because within a few minutes you can see how much people like a post - followers immediately comment, react, save the post... Within just a few minutes you already see if the picture is good or not, if they like yours publication or not.

How do you manage to post something every day? Try to make it a habit to integrate Instagram into your daily life. Sometimes it is also allowed to post something that has nothing to do with your job if you don't have time for such a post that day - your followers like to see your daily life and find out who the person behind the profile is and what their life is like.

3. Build your audience

Rule number three is to build your audience - people who will not just follow your profile, but who will actually comment, share your posts, interact with you. Don't make it your goal to just post something and hope that someone likes it - be specific with what you post and always keep in mind who your main audience is. If the people who follow you feel that you understand them and begin to identify with you and your work - they will be committed to everything you do and engage with your content.

These are the people who will buy your product, your services, it is more likely that someone will want to cooperate with you, because they know exactly what you share, support and what your values are. It is much easier to get an offer for cooperation or get people to buy your product if when they think of you they have an image in their head that you stand for the same things and have the same values as the person following you.

Most of the time, people don't follow someone because they understand exactly what they are doing, but because they feel that someone understands them. This can be difficult when you use the profile for work, but share a story about your start, about a problem you faced... People will find it and identify with you. If absolutely everything is perfect - people can't relate to it, because they see that it's not real and so you'll never build a community that will consistently follow your profile.

If you follow these three things, you should have no problem maintaining and progressing your profile.
